As a soloist, accompanist and teacher of the piano and organ, Matthew is in much demand. He has given recitals and accompanied choirs in many places great and small including including many of the Cathedrals across the UK. In July 2009 he visited Belgium with Barnard Castle Schools Music Department where he performed as a soloist and an accopanist in Brussels Cathedral. His repertoire ranges from the great Preludes and Fugues of J S Bach through to virtuosic French Romantic works and his own transcriptions and arrangements.

Matthew is now building his reputation as a performer with many forthcoming concert dates which will take him all over the country including the revered Liverpool Anglican Cathedral  which boasts the greatest organ in the UK.

He is very much interested in organ restoration and in 2008 Matthew directed the restoration of Barnard Castle School's Chapel Organ and lead an active role in installing a redundant Father Willis Organ into his home church of St. Columba, Topcliffe, Thirsk from 1998 - 2001.

As well as playing the organ, Matthew enjoys playing the piano and accompaniment work, he also is kept amused by his musical friends from Musica Amata, his noisy African Grey Parrot Horace and driving his Mercedes-Benz!
