Camerata di Musica Amata


 Premiering on the 4th September 2010 Camerata di Musica Amata having brought together accomplished musicians from the North East of England (Judith Rousseau, Oriana Bezzina, Paul Judson, Nicholas Browne and Dr Antonina Lax) will be performing Mozart's Piano Quintet K. 452.


Judith Rousseau - Oboe




 Judith studied Oboe at the Royal Academy of Music with Janet Craxton.

Since then she has been active as an orchestral player performing with Choral Societies and Musical Theatre, and as a member of the Tarantella Trio, whilst maintaining a busy teaching schedule.

Oriana Bezzina - Clarinet


Oriana is currently studying Medicine at Newcastle University; as a medical student she continues to enjoy playing music in her spare time. During her time at Barnard Castle School, Oriana was involved in many ensembles, including the school's wind band, orchestra, Jazz band and saxophone quartet. As the years progressed she achieved Grade 8 in Piano and saxophone and went on to gain a Diploma in performance on Clarinet. In her last year at the school she was awarded Musician of the Year in the annual music festival.

Paul Judson - Bassoon

Paul joined Army as a musician directly from school and served a number of years with the Royal Artillery Band where he developed his instrumental playing. In 1979, having completed the Bandmasters Course at the Royal Military School of Music Paul was appointed as Bandmaster of the Devonshire and Dorset Regiment where he stayed until his retirement in 1989.

Paul then moved up to the North East to join the Sunderland music service as a woodwind teacher and remained with them until 1995. In 2000 Paul spent nine months in Auckland, New Zeland as Director of Instrumental Studies at St Peter's College.

Paul is currently working as a woodwind teacher with the Tees Valley Music Service and enjoys playing in a variety of orchestras and smaller ensembles in the local area.
